Photographing Newman Senior Technical College
I’ve just photographed the recently completed building works at Newman Senior Technical College. Built by Commercial Project Group, the project included the extension and alterations to 2 existing school school blocks and the construction of a completely new block. This new block contains a commercial kitchen, cafe, and general learning areas.
Photography wise it was actually quite tricky to shoot. I shot the interiors very early on a bright sunny day before the pupils arrived at the school. This meant the light was very low in the sky and streaming in to some of the rooms. It took a fair bit of balancing but I used my Elinchroms to fill in and then an edit in Photoshop. I really like the end result as the rooms look so bright, fresh and welcoming.
These images were all shot with a Nikon D810 and a Nikon 16-35mm lens.
