Portraits of a master surf board shaper

I recently had the opportunity to photograph master surf board shaper Greg Frost from SFD–Spirit Filled Design Surfboards for one of my commercial clients. SFD is a local Port Macquarie business established way back in 1968. Originally from Adelaide where he was State Surf Champion, Greg is a master shaper specialising in custom orders, performance boards and competition boards of all sizes and designs. Greg’s experience shows with his perfect attention to detail and an uncanny ability to produce epic boards which will excite the owner again and again.

All of these images were shot with the Nikon D810 and a 24-70mm f2.8. The shots in the shaping room were just available light and a SB-910 speedlite off camera as a fill light and the others were lit with available light and an Elinchrom flash with an Octo light box.
